Shanna Shoffner began her career in public education as an aide and special education paraprofessional. After completing her teaching degree, she had the opportunity to work on a grant project between ASU and Maricopa County Juvenile Detention Center to provide transition and educational services to at-risk youth. Upon completion of that project, she began teaching at Casa Grande Union High School as a special education teacher. During this time, she also began pursuing her Masters in Educational Leadership. After leaving Casa Grande, she worked at the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office with youth within the school across five jails to provide special education services and assist with the transition back to their community.
